Find your gate in four steps
Gate-finding at Pearson is a navigation problem, not a research problem, once you follow it in order:
- Flight
Check your boarding pass or Pearson's current flight information for the gate.
- Terminal
Confirm whether you're in Terminal 1 or Terminal 3.
- Gate area
Note the letter - D, E or F in Terminal 1; A, B or C in Terminal 3.
- Gate number
Follow the signs for that letter to the specific numbered gate.
Terminal 1: D, E and F gates
| Gate area | General role |
|---|---|
| Pier D | Mainly domestic operations |
| Pier E | Domestic and some transborder |
| Pier F | Transborder and international |
Treat this as a general pattern, not a substitute for your boarding pass - confirm your actual gate from current flight information.
Terminal 3: A, B and C gates
| Gate area | General role | Walk from security |
|---|---|---|
| A gates | Transborder flights (U.S. pre-clearance) | About 2-3 min, closest |
| B gates | Mixed domestic and international | About 8-10 min to the far end |
| C gates | Mixed domestic and international | About 10-12 min, farthest |
The A concourse handles U.S. pre-clearance and is kept separate airside from B and C, which is why it's worth confirming your gate area rather than assuming by destination.
Gates can change - always recheck
A gate shown on your boarding pass hours earlier can change by the time you reach the terminal. After security, check the current gate on the airport screens before you start walking, and check again if you've been sitting at the gate area for a while - assignments can shift even late.
Use the official interactive map for everything else
For restaurants, shops, lounges and security-checkpoint locations, Pearson's interactive map is more useful than a static gate list - it lets you search for a specific amenity and get step-by-step directions from where you are.
