Toronto Airport Departures & Arrivals Map
Two routes through the airport - one for departures, one for arrivals - mapped step by step.
Written and reviewed by Rao Asif · Founder & CEO, Pearson Toronto Limo. Verified August 2026.
Quick answer: A departure follows terminal, check-in, security, gate. An arrival follows terminal, arrivals, baggage or customs, exit, pickup. Confirm your terminal and operating airline before travelling, since a codeshare ticket can differ from who actually flies the aircraft. Call +1 (905) 872-6411.
The departure route
Before opening any map, confirm your flight number, operating airline (codeshare tickets can show a different airline from the one flying the aircraft) and current terminal. Then the route is: drop-off level, check-in, security, departure area, gate. At Terminal 1, check-in is specifically on Level 3; Terminal 3 uses its own dedicated departures map rather than the same level numbering.
The arrival route
After leaving the aircraft, the sequence is: arrivals, baggage claim or customs where applicable, exit, pickup. Share your flight number with anyone meeting you rather than just the scheduled landing time - international arrivals in particular may need border processing and baggage collection before reaching the public area.
Moving between terminals
If your journey touches both buildings - a missed terminal, a connecting flight, or reaching a hotel near Viscount Station - the free Terminal Link train is the connection, running 24 hours a day in about 2 to 8 minutes between stations.
Matching your pickup to the route
| Service | Terminal 1 | Terminal 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Taxi | Door D | Door E |
| Limo | Door C | Door E |
| Pre-arranged desk | Inside, Door A | Inside, Door A |
Licensed taxis and limos do not pick up inside the terminal or in the parking garages - give your driver the full terminal and door, not just "Pearson."
Before you travel: route checklist
Departing: flight number confirmed, operating airline checked, terminal confirmed, drop-off level identified, enough time allowed for security.
Arriving: flight number shared with whoever is meeting you, arrival terminal checked, baggage carousel noted once assigned, pickup method and meeting point confirmed in advance.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find the gate shown for my flight?
Gate information can change after your boarding pass was issued. Check the current airport display first, then use the signs to navigate to the assigned gate.
Can someone meet me at my arrival gate?
No - passengers collecting an arriving traveller meet on the public side of the terminal, after the passenger completes arrival processing and baggage claim.
What should I do if my baggage carousel changes?
Follow the latest airport display for your flight rather than an earlier carousel number - live flight information should take priority.
What if I arrive at the wrong terminal?
Check your flight information first. If you genuinely need the other terminal, the free Terminal Link connects Terminal 1, Terminal 3 and Viscount Station 24 hours a day.
What should I tell someone picking me up?
Your terminal, flight number and agreed pickup arrangement - not just that you've landed at Pearson. Drivers need the specific terminal and pickup point.
